All Coaching Applicants and Prospective Coaches:
Anyone who is interested in being a 2010 ERD Football Coach, please note that there will be an initial meeting Thursday, July 29th, at the Larry Bagwell Gymnasium at 6pm sharp! We will cover a lot of information on this night and your attendance is crucial! Coaches please bring a notebook and pen to the meeting!
Easley High School Head Coach Chad Smith is scheduled to speak as well as Keith Carter from Dozier Sports Clinic who will do a short class on heat illnesses, first aid, and concussions. As the Athletic Director, I will give an update on the current status of our program as well as answer any questions concerning our age divisions, scheduling, rules, etc.
We will also have a Coaches Clinic to be conducted by Easley High School Head Coach Chad Smith to discuss the offensive and defensive systems which will be used throughout the Easley Program from Varsity all the way down to our 3rd/4th division. This Clinic (which is mandatory for all Head Coaches) will be held on Saturday, August 7th at Easley High School. The Green Wave team will also be scrimmaging at Brice Field that morning and Coach Smith encourages all of the Easley Rec coaches to attend that as well. The Clinic will begin around Noon and last for about 2 hours.
To all of our 2010 Football Coaches I want to say “Thank You” for volunteering your time and I look forward to seeing you at the meeting next Thursday!
